I created a series of print materials to promote the Moholy-Nagy exhibition in the Guggeinheim. Inspired by the similarity in beautiful shapes between the artist’s works and the museum’s majestic structure, I took a modern and experimental approach. The design system has an easy-to-follow structure for consistency throughout all promotional pieces as well as for future museum exhibitions. I captured the “experimental“ keyword by using Bauhaus-style elements and adopting Moholy-Nagy’s most representative invention-—photograms. To make it practical to promote, the design features variations of Moholy-Nagy’s photograms. The orange and black color palette emphasizes the radical impression for which he’s known in his art.
